This is NOT a mine run material in a lot of matrix requiring a lot of work to expose the opal, but an "AA" Grade hand cut high quality boulder opal with the color exposed as shown in our image! Australia produces around 97% of the opal in the world and yet boulder opal is only 2% of the opal produced. Fantasia® works exclusively with a single mine to bring only the best quality boulder opal available for their Fantasia® brand. Your order will contain one or multiple piecs of this spectacular material of varying natural size, shape and pattern similar to the pieces shown in our images equaling the total weight purchased.

VERY IMPORTANT: Our images were taken with the stones being wet and hydrated which shows the opals true colors and clarity. It will not have the same appearance when dry unless it has been cabbed or polished. Every piece is unique and some will have more veins, some will have more surface opal, and others will have more fire sparkle and all types are shown in our images. All orders contain random pieces which are selected until a minimum of the total weight ordered is reached.
